Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi

Arrive at Delhi International Airport. Following immigration, customs formalities and baggage collection, a TCI representative will meet, as you exit the terminal building and will transfer you to your Hotel.
Delhi: The capital of Republic of India, Delhi is a bustling metropolis and a city of almost 17 million inhabitants. Delhi is a near perfect blend of the ancient and the modern and is seamlessly divided into two parts - Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi is part of the city that was designed by the Mughals and New Delhi was designed majorly during English rule. Delhi has something for everyone ranging from forts to shopping malls, museums to temples, golf clubs to discotheques etc.

Day 2 In Delhi

Late Morning start your tour of Old Delhi: Sightseeing tour of Old Delhi include visit to mosque of Friday, Jama Masjid. Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India and is one of the last architectural works of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan whose best work is Taj Mahal. The spacious courtyard of the Jama Masjid holds thousands of faithful devotees. Drive in a man pulled rickshaw through the colorful shopping bazaar known as Chandni Chowk ("Moonlit Street"). Drive past the Red Fort, an important building complexes of India which encapsulates a long period of Indian history and its arts. Also visit Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Evening at leisure.

Day 3 Delhi

Morning we will visit local school Deepalaya School Kalkaji Extention (venue of the visit can change as per the organizer's) was set up In 1999, with the backing of several investors and in response to an overwhelming demand by the parents for a formal school. DSKE was the first Deepalaya school that was designed from ground up to function as a fully fledged education centre. The campus was equipped with laboratories, playgrounds and an auditorium. It saw students enrolling from nearby slum areas like Okhla, Govindpuri, Transit Camp, Sangam Vihar, Tughlabad Extension, and Madanpur Khadar.
After the tour continue with your tour of New Delhi visiting Qutub Minar, the pride of Delhi. The Construction of this tall minaret was commenced by muslim ruler, Qutb-ud-din Aibak in 1192 and completed by Iltutmish. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture. Later drive past the spectacular India Gate (the memorial built to commemorate the unknown soldiers), The President's House and Government Buildings (ministry offices).

Day 4 Delhi / Jaipur

Morning: Drive by surface to Jaipur (252 Kms/6 hrs approximately).
Upon arrival at Jaipur check in at hotel.
Jaipur: Popularly known as the 'Pink City', Jaipur is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, the city today has a population of 3.1 million.

Day 5 In Jaipur

Morning excursion to Amber Fort with a photo stops at Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Hawa Mahal, 18th-century Palace of Winds, the screened windows of Amber allowed for the ladies of the court in times gone by viewing the processional, civic activities, and formal matters of state. You will drive up this magnificent fort by Elephants and make a tour of the complex. Amber Fort, The Amber Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh the fort was made in red sand stone and white marble.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of city visiting City Palace, a beautiful palace complex full of treasures now housed in the museum area. City Palace is a delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Also visit Jantar Mantar or Royal Astronomical Observatory. This observatory is a collection of architectural astronomical instruments, built by Maharaja (King) Jai Singh II at his then new capital of Jaipur between 1727 and 1734.

Day 7 In Agra

Morning proceed for sightseeing tour of Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday's). Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried from 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, Later visit the splendid Agra Fort, Agra Fort - the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Agra fort is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Rest day free for shopping.

Day 8 Agra / Jhansi / Orchha / Khajuraho

Morning transfer to railway station to board morning Shatabadi express train to Jhansi.
Agra /Jhansi Shatabadi Express: 0805/ 1030 hrs
Upon arrival at Jhansi transfer by surface to Khajuraho with enroute visiting Orchha (183Kms / 04 Hrs approximately).
Orchha was founded in the 16th century by the Bundela chieftain, Rudra Pratap Singh, who built this new capital on large wooded islands on the River Betwa. Upon arrival visit Jehangir Mahal & Ram Raja Temple, Laxminarayan Temple.
Continue your drive to Khajuraho.
Khajuraho has become world renowned for its Temples. They are the most graphic, erotic and sensuous sculptures in India. Khajuraho has finally received the attention it deserves for its significant contribution to the religious art of India. On arrival check in at hotel.

Day 9 Khajuraho / Varanasi

Buffet breakfast at Hotel.
Morning visit the famous 10th century Western group of temples designated as a World Heritage Site enclosed within a beautifully laid out park. The Kandriya Mahadev, Jagadami and Chitragupta Temples display the best craftsmanship of Khajuraho. Later visit Eastern group of Temples. Later transfer to airport to connect flight to Varanasi . Khajuraho / Varanasi 9W724 1345/1435 hrs (Flight cost not included).
Varanasi, the 'eternal city', and Hinduism's most important city, located on the banks of the sacred River Ganges, has been the center of learning & civilization for over two thousand years.
Evening witness Aarti ceremony on The Ganges.
Aarti is a Hindu religious ritual of worship, a part of puja, in which light from wicks soaked in ghee (purified butter) or camphor is offered to one or more deities.

Day 10 Varanasi / Delhi

Buffet breakfast at Hotel.
Early morning, boat ride on holy river Ganges– to see the ritual bathing and cremation is worth the effort of waking up before sunrise, a direct contact with life on the banks of the Ganges. Hindu pilgrims come to bath in the sacred Ganga, facing the rising sun, or at dusk, when leaf-boat lamps are floated down the river. On your way back visit turn back visit Viswanath Temple (Golden temple) from outside (Non Hindus not allowed inside).
After breakfast visit Banaras Hindu University - established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. BHU is one of the largest residential university in Asia, with over 20,000 students & Bharat Mata Temple.

Late tour of Sarnath. It was here that Lord Buddha revealed his doctrine and founded his monastic community. The Museum at Sarnath is amongst the most important in India and contains carvings representing a whole range of styles - Archaic, the covering work of sculptors from 3rd century B.C. to the 12th century A.D.
